Five Minute Friday: GROW

One of the ladies who attended my baptism and babysat me and my sister, loving us as one of her own, is now my friend on facebook. She's continued to be an encouraging force in my life as I became a wife and mother and moved halfway across the country with my new family. Often she posts blog entries that serve as my devotions and lead my personal spiritual journey. One of these blogs, The Gypsy Mama, is especially wonderful. Lisa-Jo encourages women to write for five minutes every Friday- to just let it out- not worried about audience or final product or anything but playing with words for five minutes.  Check out Five Minute Fridays over here and enjoy my free flow.

GROW
Becoming a mother has helped me grow in many unexpected ways.
It's intriguing how the meaning of GROW has an evolved for me as a mother-
at first I watched as my belly grew and felt my baby grow inside.  Upon my infant's birth, I carefully monitored his growth and watched with bittersweet joy my child emerge from the babe.  In a few short years, I've begun to grow plants with him, an expression of our growing love.

  4. Oh I love to hear about the paths that connected us. And I've also been amazed at how motherhood has changed me and my way of understanding growth. Beautiful. Thank you for linking up!
